Beta note

These first builds are not signed with Apple or Microsoft developer certificates. Your operating system may ask for one extra confirmation before opening Overcap. Download only from the official release page linked here.

Windows 10+

x64 and ARM64

Choose the .exe ending in _x64-setup or _arm64-setup.

The first beta is not code-signed. Windows may show an Unknown publisher or SmartScreen warning.

Apple Silicon and Intel

Choose the universal .dmg.

The first beta is ad-hoc signed. If macOS blocks it, control-click Overcap, choose Open, then confirm.

64-bit Linux

Linux

x64 and ARM64

Choose an AppImage or Debian .deb package.

For AppImage, allow the file to run as a program. Debian packages install with your normal package manager.

Install without the guesswork

  1. Windows

    1. Download the installer for x64 or ARM64.
    2. If SmartScreen appears, choose More info.
    3. Confirm the publisher is Unknown, then choose Run anyway.

  2. macOS

    1. Open the universal DMG and drag Overcap to Applications.
    2. Control-click Overcap in Applications and choose Open.
    3. Choose Open again when macOS asks for confirmation.

  3. Linux

    1. Use the .deb on Debian-based systems, or choose the AppImage.
    2. For AppImage, mark the file as executable.
    3. Open Overcap from your app menu or run the AppImage directly.
